Change to the Winter @ Westminster Season

After two weeks of cocktail competitions the committee has decided to revert to two divisions, similar to last season. ‘A’ grade will be primarily players who played A grade last season, with a few promotions, and B grade will be mostly those who played B grade last season with any new players. This may mean the A teams have different numbers of players to the B teams. The A grade games will need to be mainly self-refereed. Players from this game can do the refereeing for the B game.

The timetable will be:-

10 minute halves + 5 minutes total change over time.

4:50 Players allocated to teams
5pm Set up
Game 1 5:20 A game
Game 2 5:45 B game
6:10 Micro-junior game on part of the pool,
rolling or tactic skill training for others
Game 3 6:25 A game
Game 4 6:50 B game
7:18 Pack up. Doors close 7:30

If more than 12 players turn up for the A games then the timetable will be:-

8 minute halves + 5 minutes total change over time.

4:50 Players allocated to teams
5pm Set up
Game 1 5:20 A game Team 1  v  Team 2
Game 2 5:41 B game
6:02 Micro-junior game on part of the pool,
rolling or tactic skill training for others
Game 3 6:15 A game Team 2  v  Team 3
Game 4 6:36 A game Team 1  v  Team 3
Game 5 6:57 B game
7:18 Pack up. Doors close 7:30

As you can see the timetables are designed to provide maximum playing time. It is therefore very important that players arrive at the pool before 5pm to organise teams. Then when we can get into the pool at 5pm, everyone needs to help with the set up and then the two teams for the first game get onto the water by 5:20pm.

Things that need doing to get the pool set up: –

  • Goals set up; 4 people each end
  • Score board; 2 people
  • Orange cones; 2 people
  • Flags removed; 2 people
  • Lane ropes removed; 3 people

The reverse of these are required for pack up.
