Nationals 2018 – Player and Officials dates

Put them in your diary now

The SA Polo Technical committee has set a timetable for selection of state teams for the 2018 Nationals. This timetable means players and officials will be able to plan and train with some certainty.

June/July:

Renewal of your AC membership with your club.

September:

Registration and appointment of coaches and officials.

If you are interested in selecting, coaching or managing a team, email your interest to canoe.polo.sa@gmail.com now. You do not have to wait until the call in September.

October:

Summer Series starts (Canberra, Sydney, Adelaide and then Victoria (Nagambie?)

Prepare there for Nationals (Open and Women players especially).

Organise your team and email us a list at  canoe.polo.sa@gmail.com.

November:

Player nominations due.

Please be organised for this. The committee is keen to avoid late nominations and the stress this causes for both players and officials. Forms will be sent to those emailing us and with Batchat.

January:

Team selection.

Selection will be based on performance in local competition, Summer series competitions and any special training deemed appropriate by coaches.

February:

Canoe SA Board ratifies teams.

This should be a formality unless players are not members of Australian Canoeing or have other membership issues

Westminster season

To maximise playing time, for team creation please email Liz Melville by Saturday to say you are attending.
