Encounter Paddling

Marathon, Sprint, Recreation.
Encounter Paddling currently operates from the Encounter Lakes recreational reserve called Cliff Thorpe Reserve. The reserve is located on Bartel Boulevard at Encounter Bay, South Australia. The borrowed kayaks are stored in a locked shed adjacent to the Boulevard Shop and are launched from the beach at Cliff Thorpe reserve. There are toilets at the reserve and adequate parking adjacent to the storage facility.

Holdfast Bay Paddlesports Club

Holdfast Bay Canoe Club is a small and easy-going club. We are made up primarily of sprint kayak and surf paddlers of ages between 16 and 50. Club members are very competitive, and successfully race distances from 200 metres to 200 kilometres! A strong bond exists in our club between all members, and we always welcome new-comers. Come and join a small, friendly club with low membership rates.

Marathon Canoe Club of SA

Marathon – Long distance races on inland waterways. 
MCC organises the iconic Riverland Paddling Marathon (RPM). This is South Australia’s premier long distance race (from Berri to Morgan) on the June long weekend. Come and join us at this annual event

Northern Districts Canoe Club

Canoe Polo, Recreation, Beginners 
Northern Districts Canoe Club is a family-oriented club for all ages and abilities, located at Mawson Lake. 
Coaching and tuition for beginner paddlers, encouragement to reach your best, and fundraising to help our elite paddlers compete overseas. 
On the Australia Day weekend (or the weekend closest to 26th January), NDCC conducts the Australia Day Canoe Polo Competition which brings the best canoe polo players from SA and interstate to play on this normally placid lake.
You can find your place in a NDCC team or enjoy recreation paddling with other people who like being on the water with a paddle in their hand. NDCC  …. have a ball with canoeing.

Onkaparinga Canoe Club

The OCC is a small and friendly club that caters for all ages and levels of experience.  Since 1976, the club has produced many state, national, and international competitors.  Notables are Olympians Scott Wooden (1984) and Olympic Medalist Ian Rowling (1992) – both trained at and competed for the Onkaparinga Canoe Club during their paddling careers.
